Today we started the next leg of journey to the south. We had about 4 hours of driving, but we planned on lots of stops. As it happened we got great views of Middle-spotted Woodpecker (below), Rock Bunting, Crossbill, Dartford Warbler, and eventually as we neared the Rio Duraton National Park, a Black or Cinereous Vulture. We had unexpectedly met our friends from the Ferry the day before and spent an evening with them looking for Bears. We didn’t see any but we did have an excellent Indian Meal made by Chris in their Motor Home! Whilst we were watching, we shared some grapes and cheese and bread!!
