The Bockhill Boys had found a Dusky Warbler in Kingsdown yesterday and so we headed out early this morning to try and locate it. Fortunately it had remained over night and was calling occasionally from 8am - 8.20am when it seemed to fly a short distance out of view. Also present were two Blackcaps and a Chiffchaff and several Goldcrests. Along the Leas and Undercliff we found 2 Black Redstarts, 2 Stonechat, a Brambling and several Yellowhammers.
The Dusky Warbler was the 11th new patch bird for October and 130th species for the year!
